Screen Printing
Screen Printing
You can wear it? We can print it.
The New Era Grafix Print Department is where it all began. New Era started with three owners, a small 6 colour manual press and an eight foot electric oven. Our printing department now consists of 2 large automatic presses, 2 manual presses and 2 natural gas ovens.Colour Matching
We use a custom Pantone matching system as well as a stock colour system. Colours are matched on site using a computer assisted program for the Pantones and the sharp eyes of our printers for shirt matches and custom colours. We are capable of printing 4 colour process prints to achieve photo reproduction on white or light coloured tees. We also take advantage of a hybrid print system called "Spot Process" which combines the best of both worlds. By using upwards of 8-12 colours we can reproduce photographic, intense coloured images on dark coloured garments as well.
Inks
Inks come in a variety of types such as High Density, Puff, Metallic, and Glow in the Dark. The most common garments we print on are 100% cotton shirts, bags, jackets, pants and umbrellas. The Screens
Our screening process consists of screens that vary in mesh counts of 60 to 305 enabling us to get very heavy coverage using the lower mesh counts, or to reproduce ultra fine detail using the higher mesh counts. The screens are coated and processed in a 1000 watt metal halide exposure unit.Have any questions about our screen printing process? Interested in seeing it in action? Give us a call or leave us a message! We would be happy to answer your questions and/or show you first hand.
